Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford (born April 14 20th, 1980) is an American actor, singer and dancer. The first Broadway parts included Wicked Legally Blonde & Hair. In You Can't Take It With You her role, she received the Tony Award as Best Featured actor in a Play. Annaleigh Ashford, Tony Award winner actor has worked with a variety of acclaimed actors and directors in TV and stage productions. She continues this award-winning career with her upcoming projects. Ashford is scheduled to appear next alongside Kumail Nannjiani in Robert Siegel's Hulu Limited series Welcome to Chippendales premiering November 22. Ashford is currently in production for Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust starring opposite Sarah Paulson and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. This film is a Hulu Original and will be streamed through Disney DTC. Ashford will return in 2023. She will be starring opposite Josh Groban at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in the revival of Stephen Sondheim Sweeney Todd. Thomas Kail, director and producer of Hamilton is the director of the show. Ashford most recently starred Paula Jones in the new Ryan Murphy FX series American Crime Story Impeachment which is based on the crisis in America that picked to Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky and Linda Tripp as principal characters in the nation's very first impeachment proceedings in over 100 years. In two seasons, Ashford was the main character of CBS's hit comedy B Positive. In addition, she appeared on the hit series created by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre, which featured legendary actors Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen. She is no stranger to Broadway Ashford is the recipient of the Tony Drama Desk Award and the Outer Critics Circle Awards with her performance as Essie. Her additional Broadway roles include Sunday in the Park with George Wicked Legally Blonde and the lead role in Lauren In Kinky Boots a performance for which she was awarded a second Tony Award nomination. Ashford has been raised in Denver currently splits her time in between Los Angeles & New York.
