Kellie Martin (born Kellie Marien) is an acclaimed American actor. She's appeared in a variety of TV and film shows like "Christy" which is a comedy about a teenage girl named Christy Huddleston. Her other notable roles include the lead role in the Hailey Dean Mystery series. Born to a department store buyer as well as a teacher in kindergarten, Martin started her acting career at the young age of seven years old when her aunt who served as the nanny of Michael Landon's children, assisted her in landing a guest spot in the 1982 series "Father Murphy.". After she graduated from Yale University in 1982, Martin began to take her acting profession more than just a hobby. She was able to land important roles in television and big screens. Martin has also been an artist and photographer. Her sister, who died of Lupus aged 19 inspired her to become the Lupus national spokesperson.
